This is actually a fun program to use if you want to see how fast you can type. It also allows you to see how accurate you can type when given sentences, words or even a paragraph. One of the benefits is that you don't have to go to any kind of class at a school to see how fast you can type. There are words on the screen or a paragraph, and when the timer begins, you begin typing. After a certain amount of time has gone by, you're given the number of words that you can type per minute in that time period.
The program is a good indication as to how fast and accurate you can type, and the statements that you have to type aren't always the same. This gives you a better indication as to how well you can type as you don't remember what you saw before, giving you a chance to practice the words before taking the test again.
There is a typing tutor that gives you a chance to improve the typing skills that you have.
